Warning: Danger Ahead
Christians are not called to an easy life. The Bible warns us that those who love God, will be persecuted for their faith. Loving God with all your heart and soul will not save you from a difficult life.
There is constantly a spiritual battle going on around us, whether we are aware of it or not. It's God against Satan. Even though nothing is more powerful than God, Satan is still someone we should take seriously. He desires nothing more than to overwhelm Gods light with evil.
God cautions us of this in 1 Peter 5:8-9:
"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are."
Satan is searching for believers he can ruin. He is as aggressive as a lion, ready to devour his victim.
There seems to be this false belief that Satan only seeks the weak. Yes, he does, but he also seeks for strong men and women of God who pose a threat to him.
The closer you are to God, the bigger threat you become.
Beware my fellow Christians; Satan is seeking us out. And when he finds us, stand firm. Do not waver. Trust in the Lord who protects you. You'll walk out of the fight as a champion.
When you are being attacked, take it as a sign. You're a threat to Satan. And honestly, I'd count that as an honor. It must mean you're doing something right.
You were not called to an easy life, but as long as you stand firm in your faith, you will defeat anything Satan throws your way, because with God, all things are possiable.
